The Ivano-Frankivsk SPE Student Chapter, operating based on the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, was opened on July 1, 2010. Our mission is aimed at collecting, distributing, and exchanging technical knowledge to improve the professional competence of all active participants by organizing conferences, trainings, lectures, and workshops. During its existence, this chapter received the following awards:

Recent events can be highlighted :
1. Organization and holding of the VI International Fuel Congress. In addition to students from other SPE chapters, foreign guests joined the event: Professor Thomas Blasingame, a petroleum engineering specialist from the University of Texas, and Iryna Petrovska-Marchiano, chief reservoir modeling engineer at Chevron.
2. The lecture is devoted to the topic "PRMS-SPE CLASSIFICATION" by the associate professor of the Department of Geology and Exploration of Oil and Gas Fields and Candidate of Geological Sciences Mykhailiv Iryna Romanivna.
3. Lecture by Taras Popadynets, head of the "Geothermal Ukraine" on the topic "Potential of repurposing unproductive oil and gas wells in Ukraine to obtain geothermal energy".
4. Participation of officers of the Ivano-Frankivsk chapter in SPE ATCE 2024, thanks to which international experience in various rematics was adopted
5. Organization of SPE Halloween, an event that helped us to attract many participants to our community
6. Оrganization of a lecture on “Unconventional reservoir” by Dr. Nabil Sameh.
