Від студентського осередку до Schlumberger і Weatherford — історія двох братів у нафтогазовій сфері

У цьому випуску ми говоримо про шлях від участі в міжнародних студентських організаціях до роботи у провідних світових сервісних компаніях. Наші гості — Роман та Олег Петрокушини, брати, які були активними учасниками студентського осередку SEG у Києві. Сьогодні вони працюють у Schlumberger та Weatherford, займаються науковою діяльністю і діляться власним досвідом того, як поєднувати навчання, науку та кар’єру на глобальному рівні. 👤 Гості епізоду:

  • Роман Петрокушин — геофізик із понад шістьма роками досвіду в Schlumberger. Працював на проєктах у понад 10 країнах, викладає курси в Petrel, готує PhD-дисертацію з геотермального скринінгу. Активний учасник SEG та EAGE.
  • Олег Петрокушин — петрофізик у Weatherford з п’ятирічним досвідом інтерпретації ГДС у свердловинах України та Європи. Аспірант КНУ, готує PhD-дослідження щодо застосування імпульсного нейтронного каротажу на виснажених родовищах. Активний член SPE Central Ukraine Section.

Part I of the meeting - "Carpathian basin: Challenges and Opportunities. Introduction to the Geological Modelling of a field from the external flysch area" by Paul Dimitrie Soflau

The meeting focused on the geological setting and challenges of the oil and gas field in Moldova region, with a particular emphasis on the layers of the Kriva formation and the structural model of the field. The discussion also covered the development of a 3D model for reservoir engineering, the importance of teamwork in complex projects, and the challenges of modeling complex fault systems in the Carpathian region. Lastly, the conversation ended with questions about the presence of helium or hydrogen in gas production wells, the algorithms used for property modeling, and the data analysis process.

Podcast with Simeon Eburi

Simeon Eburi is currently serving as 2023 SPE North America Regional Director.

He is a Reservoir Management Advisor in Chevron’s Technical Center.

He has spent much of his professional life at Chevron in roles ranging from frontier exploration and new ventures petroleum engineer, production operations supervisor in Bakersfield, California, decision and economic analyst/advisor for deepwater US Gulf of Mexico Exploration, and reservoir simulation engineer, reservoir engineer and production engineer for Shale and Tight assets. He was the chair of the SPE Gulf Coast Section (GCS) Board of Directors in 2020 and received the SPE Gulf Coast North America Regional Young Member Outstanding Service Award in 2019.

He also received the SPE-GCS Committee of the Year Award as Education Committee Chair in 2016 and was SPE-GCS Young Professionals Committee Chair in 2013, receiving the SPE Houston Young Engineer of the Year Award in 2014.

Eburi holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in petroleum engineering from Texas Tech University.
