Dear SPE Colleagues,
Appreciate to ask for some advice on the surface control electronics / panels design requirements for e-line SRO downhole tools, either stand-alone or rack mounted in a logging truck. Are there design integrity normative or requirements?
The measures that we currently follow include:
- Use storm-proof cases to build the electronics rack in
- Use rubber buffers inside the case
- Use loctite to secure bolts & nuts
- Perform vibration test on the electronics boards themselves before mounting
Still, we'd appreciate to know if there are generally followed normatives, or any further testing procedure or certification process. Any comments and insights?
Thanks in advance,
Junying Chang
