Dear All,
In a fractured basement reservoir we completed a well with bare foot completion.
From the FMI log, it is evident that presence of fractures is throughout from top to bottom.
Well has produced oil +water at higher chokes but at lower choke produces clean oil.
MPLT was carried out . Here, temp log suggested fluid influx through-out the open hole whereas holdup (using capacitance) suggested oil influx from top of open hole section only.
We carried out flowing and static gradient surveys in the well .Static Gradient surveys have been carried out a 4 times post shut-in (over a period of one year) and found that oil water interface in the well bore is static at the same depth. This depth is below the oil influx depth as inferred from capacitance hold-up log from MPLT.
Q- Can we consider this oil water interface as oil water contact for the reservoir ?
In case any other study is required , please do suggest. Can FSI give a better result??
Regards
