The SPE PD2A (Petroleum Data Driven Analytics) group is interested in understanding how Big Data and associated Analytics are positioned in various oil and gas related organizations today. It would be hugely valuable if you could provide some simple responses to the brief questionnaire below (just a few words, nothing lengthy):
- What applications of Big Data, if any, is your company looking into – Petrotechnical as well as non-petrotechnical?
- Are “Big Data” and “Analytics” viewed as just buzzwords or enablers?
- When people in your organization talk of Big Data and Analytics – is that almost synonymous to cloud-based computing in your organization?
