ABSTRACTThe landscape for the oil and gas market is changing. This presentation will provide an energy outlook through 2024. Information presented will include the latest findings of the quarterly Dallas Fed Energy Survey, which surveys about 200 upstream oil and gas firms located or headquartered in Texas, southern New Mexico and northern Louisiana.SPEAKER BIOKunal Patel is a senior business economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. As a member of the Research Department’s energy group, Patel analyzes and investigates developments and topics in the oil and gas sector. He is also heavily involved with the production of the Dallas Fed Energy Survey and is an organizer of the annual Dallas Fed–Kansas City Fed energy conference. Before joining the Dallas Fed in 2017, Patel worked in a variety of energy-related positions at Luminant, McKinsey and Co. and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Patel received a bachelor of business administration from the Business Honors Program at the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA in finance from the University of Texas at Dallas.
