Frac-Driven Interactions: A Powerful Tool for Analysis of Created Fractures in Horizontal Wells
Abstract
After a brief description of the technical background of FDI, the presentation is mainly focused on actual case histories and how the technology can be used to make reasonable determination of critical fracturing parameters including their orientation, length, vertical extent, and the likelihood of production interaction with adjacent wells. The presentation ends with recommendations on the type of data that needs to be acquired for best analysis
Biography
Ali Daneshy is President of Daneshy Consultants Int’l. He is globally known for his fracturing expertise which spans more than fifty years, during which he has published numerous technical papers related to the subject. He is the recipient of multiple SPE awards, including SPE Honorary member and Distinguished Service Awards for his contributions to Rock Mechanics and Hydraulic Fracturing, and SPE Distinguished Member. Aside from consulting, he also teaches industry short courses related to hydraulic fracturing
