Hello Fort Worth SPE!
Time flies and our SPE season is well underway. We have had a great turnout for our talks and engagement with our community thus far. Our annual golf tournament, headed by Juan Venturi with Weatherford, was a smashing success with over 120 participants and helped raise over $10,000 for our scholarship fund. We’re grateful to our sponsors and all the support from our community, along with our volunteers, who helped make the golf tournament such a success.
Looking forward, this month on November 20th we’ll have our first Distinguished Lecturer presentation, Randy Seright, presenting on polymer flooding implementations and advancements across our industry. The Distinguished Lecturer series sends accomplished technical professionals around the world to help disseminate knowledge and cutting-edge developments to SPE communities world-wide. I highly encourage everyone to take advantage of the opportunity to join us at this presentation.
Additionally, we will continue our tradition that we started last year of having of an SPE happy hour in December in lieu of a meeting. This year we are grateful to US Energy Development Corporation for allowing us to use their office in the Stockyards for this event. Their historically renovated office has a fantastic view sitting atop a hill overlooking the stockyards that you won’t want to miss. Please RSVP here. Lastly, due to renovations at the Petroleum club, our January meeting will be moved to the City Club in Downtown Fort Worth. Details for the meeting will be put on our website once they are finalized.
