The SPE Gaia Sustainability Program Linked In Group has been created to accelerate the sustainability-aligned performance by the oil and gas industry. This group enables and empowers its members, present, former and future, SPE members, sister society members, and related stakeholders by helping them operationalize advanced sustainability concepts in their work, projects and assets, strategies and research. In this group we aim to "think like activists and act like engineers". We curate and share content and learning events about sustainable development so we can collectively advance towards a clean energy transition and an inclusive society with oil and gas as an enduring core of the energy mix, meeting the world's energy needs whilst striving to bring humanity's footprint back within planetary boundaries. The SPE Gaia Linked In Group is one pillar of the Gaia program which is governed and implemented by the SPE Sustainable Development Technical Section and by SPE Geographical and Technical Sections and Standing Committees - in collaboration with AAPG, SEG, IOGP, IPIECA, OGCI, IOGCC and others where possible. The SPE Gaia program is a portfolio of events, the flagship Gaia Summit, ongoing Gaia Talks on SPE Live, SDTS and in our regions, webinars, articles, event programming support, meetings to accelerate the adoption and operationalization of sustainability practices by oil and gas industry professionals. The program is structured by a framework of Pathways, Principles & Priorities: Principles: Aggregation - Engagement - Collaboration Pathways: Innovation - Measuring what Matters - Listening & Communicating Priorities: Energy System Transformation - Natural Capital & Regeneration – Just Transition
