Attached is the brochure for the third symposium/workshop sponsored by AIME of the Engineering Solutions for Sustainability: Materials & Resources.  The event will be held in Denver on 18-19 February 2017, and the theme will be "Toward a Circular Economy."  Other societies who are partnering with AIME on this event include SPE, the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME), the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AICHE), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Association for Iron and Steel Technology (AIST), The Minerals, Metals, and Materials Society (TMS), the American Association of Engineering Societies (AAES), the Canadian Geotechnical Society, the Geological Society of America, the Association of Environmental & Engineering Geologists (AEG), and the International Association for Engineering Geology and the Environment (enGeol).  As noted in the attached, this symposium/workshop will focus on exploring and gaining more alignment/awareness around this relatively new topic.  The multi-society aspect also promises to provide excellent networking opportunities.  Please note the deadline for submitting abstracts is August 31, 2016.  Thanks.
