Instructor: Henny Cornelissen (WEP), 21 October 2014, 9.00 – 17.00 hrs, KIVI NIRIA building, Prinsessegracht 23, The Hague.

Outline:

The first episode of a well is the drilling phase. The design engineers and drilling staff will do their utmost to ensure that the "new born" has a "long and happy life". Drilling for non-drillers is intended to give non-drilling professionals an insight and more knowledge of rig components, terminology and operational requirements. Starting with the days of Colonel Drake, it will bring the participant via common used methods and techniques, to the 21st century and will close with a taste of the modern drilling world. On completion of this course, you will have a taste of rig operations and understand the terminology used. Therefore interdepartmental communication will be easier, more beneficial and efficient.

Who Should Attend:

This course and workshop is tailored to E&P “non-drilling” professionals who are looking for both more understanding of the drilling process, as well as insight into current drilling best-practices. This course does not require prior knowledge, but a general understanding of the E&P business will be expected.
