Speakers:

Casey Kavanaugh – Update on BSEE Orphan Well Activities in the GOM OCS

Biographical Sketch:

Mrs. Casey Kavanaugh is the Technical Advisor to the Office of the Regional Director, Bureau of Safety and Environment Enforcement (BSEE) for the GOM Region in New Orleans, LA. She works with the Regional Director and his team on decommissioning, source control, and hurricane response.  She previously served as Workover/Decommissioning Coordinator for the GOM after beginning her career as a field engineer for workovers.  She earned a BS in Petroleum Engineering from LSU in 2008. 

Abstract: 

Ms. Kavanaugh will provide an update on the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement, BSEE, activities to address orphan well liabilities in the federal Gulf of Mexico OCS. 

 

Roby Fulkerson – Update on Orphan Well Activities in Louisiana

Biographical Sketch:

Roby Fulkerson is the Executive Director for the Oilfield Site Restoration (OSR) Program in the Louisiana Office of Conservation (OOC).   He earned a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering at LSU and had experience as a wellsite supervisor, drilling engineer, and interventions engineer with several operators prior to joining the OOC. 

Abstract:

Mr. Fulkerson will present an informational session on the Louisiana Orphan Well Program, known as the Oilfield Site Restoration (OSR) Program.  It will include an overview and current status of the state program including the methane monitoring efforts and the recent progress on the federally funded projects within the program.

To receive a Continuing Education Credit Certificate by email, please email the Continuing Education Credit Certificate by May 8 or sign the roster at the meeting.  You will be emailed after our meeting. Monthly Meeting = 1 CEU.
