Biography
Mr. Frederick Brink is currently the Deputy Regional Supervisor for District Field Operations for the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE), Gulf of Mexico Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) Office, U.S. Department of the Interior, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
In his capacity as Deputy Regional Supervisor, Mr. Brink assists the Regional Supervisor in overseeing and supporting Production Operations and Well Operations at the five BSEE District Offices along the gulf coast, as well as the District Operations Support section, whose offices ensure safe and environmentally responsible oil and gas operations throughout the Gulf of Mexico OCS Region.
Most recently, Mr. Brink served as the Chief of the Well Operations Support Section in District Field Operations. In this role he assisted the district offices by providing guidance on technical reviews for permit activities, reviewing existing and new gulf region district office policies, and managing various other offshore enforcement initiatives.
Mr. Brink started his Federal career at Minerals Management Service (MMS – BSEE’s predecessor) in 2009 as a field engineer in the Lafayette District Office. He was appointed to Chief of Well Operations Support Section in May, 2014, and was promoted to Deputy Regional Supervisor for District Field Operations in 2020.
Mr. Brink received a BS degree in petroleum engineering from Louisiana State University in 2009.
