    Hello,

Does anyone have experience with successful in-situ repair of the gate valves on subsea trees? I am precisely interested in XOV.
We tried to repair with an ROV a couple of times 10-15 years ago, but due to lack of success we turned towards replacing the entire subsea tree.

Considering the technology progressed since then, I am interested to know if anyone found a way to repair the valves in-situ recently. Which vendor did you use?

    thank you in advance,
    Ksenia

    Hello Xsenia.
We recently had an issue with the XOV on a legacy SSVXT where the ROV override tooling permanently damaged (broke) the drive (unfortunately leaving the XOV in the open position)... we've since then been left with a problem without a solution (yet). It would be interesting to compare with your own situation.
    I'll send you a pm.
    Rgds.

Recently we had to mill out an XT valve that was stuck in the halfway position; there was work done with oceaneering to develop a tool to mill out the outside body of the actuator on the valve (however this was not pursued).  Please call/drop a line if you need mor einfo
