13Cr performance in very saline waters

    Good afternoon,

there is plenty of documents available describing the material performance of 13Cr in saline waters under considerable CO₂ partial pressure (often 3 MPa). But in my current case I am looking into 13Cr (the proprietary 95ksi grade, not alloyed with Ni or Mo, assuming that it behaves similar to API 13Cr) at realtively low CO₂ partial pressures of just  0.75bar≈11 psi (or even less, and no ppH₂S) and high pH values (more than 5.0 along the trajectory). Temperature range between 5°C and 125°C. The water is free of dissolved Oxygen. The concentration of Cl⁻ is rising up to 214 g/L (more than 350 g/L NaCl equivalent).

I hardly found literature for this extreme case. This one gives a hint: https://nickelinstitute.org/media/1663/corrosionresistantalloysintheoilandgasindustryselectionguidelinesupdate_10073.pdf

Do you have experience with a similar situation? Do you know publications which handle this? I'd be interested especially concerned with the severity of the attack.

    Thanks,
    Harald
