Where a offshore shallow well section has been asssesd ( via high res reprocessed 3D) as being normally pressured and void off major shallow risks I.e.
- shallowater flow (negligible to low)
- shallow gas (negligible to low)
- hydrates (negligible to low)
- massive sand packages ( where instability commonly results) (negligible to low)
how deep or how far has offshore riserless drilling safely been conducted in society members experiences.
- 3500ft is my own personal experience.
- i do recollect wells in SE Asia being pushed to more than 4000ft.
What are the further limits to these sections
e.g. If it is known that normal pressure persists for several thousand feet.
What else? To consider, when safely pushing the limits ( because this is the least exposure to the rig and its personnel) before running the bop and muddling up.
