Senior Analyst, CCUS Research, Wood Mackenzie
April joined Wood Mackenzie in September 2019 as a Senior Analyst for the Canada Upstream Research team. She focused on developing asset valuations, engaging with industry players, and cultivating Canada specific research, including the launch of the region's first ESG insight. April then moved on to manage the Global Unconventional Play Service, designing a strategic plan for the product. After joining the Subsurface team, she helped build a global discovered resources research offering. Today, as part of the CCUS Research team, April leads analysis on licensing and permitting in the Americas, developing storage cost models, and delving into the subsurface aspects of CO2 storage.
Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, April worked as a Senior Geologist at several junior to intermediate oil and gas companies. Her experience includes planning and executing drilling projects, discovering missed revenue generation opportunities, and recommending potential projects and acquisitions.
April holds an MBA with Distinction from Cornell University and a BSc (Specialization in Geology) from the University of Alberta. She is also registered as a Professional Geologist in the province of Alberta
