    Dear Colleagues,

    Did you know that in larger companies, it may take as long as 4 weeks to receive corporate approval for an abstract for a technical conference?  Jan. 22 is 4 weeks from the Feb. 19 deadline to submit your paper proposal for SPE Annual Technical Conference & Exhibition (ATCE), so it's time to seek approval from your company's management team.

    Here are the key elements for an abstract for ATCE:

    1.      OBJECTIVES/SCOPE: Please list the objectives and scope of the proposed paper. (25-75 words)

    2.     METHODS PROCEDURES, PROCESS: Briefly explain your overall approach, including your methods, procedures and process. (75-100 words)

    3.     RESULTS, OBSERVATIONS, CONCLUSIONS: Please describe the results, observations and conclusions of the proposed paper. (100-200 words)

    4.     Please explain how this paper will present novel (new) or additive information to the existing body of literature that can be of benefit to a practicing engineer. (25-75 words)

    ATCE, SPE's flagship conference, takes place in New Orleans, Louisiana from 23 September through 25 September 2024, and we anticipate over 10,000 delegates from around the world.  The SPE ATCE plans to deliver approximately 400 technical paper presentations, ePosters, and panel sessions covering these disciplines:
