SPE Cedric K Ferguson Medal Committee

This committee is charged with selecting the winning peer reviewed technical paper for which the young professional author(s) will receive the SPE Cedric K. Ferguson Medal.

Tasks:

• Committee will review all peer reviewed technical papers with authors under the age of 36 published in an SPE technical journal in the previous year
• Committee will hold up to 3 ballots
• Committee will deliberate together to select the best paper

Eligibility:

• Current SPE Professional Member
• Familiarity with peer review process
• Expertise with the writing, reviewing, and peer approval of technical papers

Time Commitment:

• 3 year term, completion at ATCE
• Annual online review of candidates
• Ability to read and evaluate a large number of technical papers
• Committee is active between February and May
• Members participate in several teleconferences during the active period
