The committee is charged with:

The integration of professional activities and practices, including the further development, future updating, and society-wide awareness of the Petroleum Engineering Skills Matrix and the database of worldwide credentialing practices. The U.S. Principles and Practice Exam responsibilities are assigned to an Engineering Professionalism Committee.

Expectations

  • To actively engage in committee functions, including meetings and other functions performed to achieve the goals of the committee
  • To participate in at least one physical meeting per year
  • To participate in 6 teleconferences per year
  • To be available to discuss committee matters via email with committee members

Eligibility

  • SPE membership

Expected Time Commitment

  • 3-Year Term Cycle
  • Attendance at one physical meeting per year (18 hours/3-Term Cycle)
  • Attendance in 6 teleconferences per year (18 hours/3-Term Cycle)
  • Estimated time commitment per month 1 to 3 hours
