Virtual Career Pathways Fair - 22-24 April 2025

SPE International is calling for volunteers to participate in the 2025 Virtual Career Pathways Fair!

During this event we are looking for volunteers to give advice on what it is like to do their job in the industry and how people who want to follow your footsteps can best prepare.

As an online opportunity we are looking for volunteers who can commit to 3 hours on one or more of the event dates during which time they can respond to online questions about their role. We are also looking for virtual moderators who can encourage and engage discussion in networking forums. Advisors may be asked to respond to text communication and participate in videochat discussions with interested students and young professionals.

About the Virtual Conference

This is our seventh event and we are working with platform provider ExpoPlatform to develop a dynamic and responsive virtual platform. This we will be available for on demand content in the lead up and after the event dates, but volunteers will only be required for a few hours on their selected days to encourage conversation and networking during the “live” timings.

Each job will have a dedicated virtual booth with resources and content about that role. Advisors will be linked to that booth so that interested visitors can set up messages or video chats with you for quick fire mentorship. Meetings will be limited to 20 minutes per session, and you can block out time when you are unavailable to have live meetings. Booths will also have related group chats where people can have more public discussions with wider attendees which you can support.

Event dates and timings

The live event will be run over three days, these will be live at different times to allow people in all parts of the world to participate. The timings shown below are shown in UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) so please ensure your account for your time zone when considering the options.
