Innovative Faculty Teaching Award Committee

The Committee is charged with:

Selecting petroleum engineering faculty who have demonstrated innovative teaching techniques.

Expectations

• To actively engage in Committee functions, including meetings and other functions performed to achieve the goals of the Committee
• To participate in as many teleconferences as necessary in the selection process (3 to 5 call, one hour calls/year)
• To be available to discuss Committee matters via email with Committee members

Eligibility

• SPE membership

Expected Time Commitment

• 3-Year Term Cycle
• Attendance in 3 to 5 teleconferences per year (9 to 15 hours/3-Year Term Cycle)
• Expected independent review of applications per year varies on the number of applications received
• Estimated time commitment is concentrated in the month of April to June, 3 to 5 hours of collaborative teleconferences
