Call for Volunteers: 2025 SPE CTCE Student Development Summit (SDS) Committee
The Student Development Summit will run alongside the SPE Caspian Technical Conference & Exhibition (CTCE), taking place 25–27 November 2025 in Baku, Azerbaijan. This flagship program will gather top undergraduate students in geosciences and engineering from across Russia and the Caspian region to engage in technical and professional development sessions, group projects, networking opportunities, and mentoring from energy industry professionals.
We are forming a volunteer committee to design and deliver this impactful program. Committee members will play a key role in shaping the agenda, grouping participants, inviting speakers, supporting sponsorship efforts, and helping facilitate sessions during the event.
Eligibility
- Current SPE member
- Strong interest in supporting student engagement and development
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team setting
- Based in Russia and the Caspian Region
Expectations
- Participate in 2–3 virtual planning Committee Meetings
- Respond promptly to emails and contribute to discussions
- Be able to work in a team environment with the committee and sub-committees
- Validate and shape program goals and objectives for the participating students, and assist with student selection
- Develop the Group Assignments/Projects the students will undertake during the program, including selecting an overall theme
- Nominate and invite speakers, young professionals, and volunteers
- Support sponsorship outreach through professional networks
- Be available to attend and help facilitate part or all of the SDS onsite, unless arranged otherwise
