About the Committee

Responsible for guiding the SPE membership to further develop and enhance the content in PetroWiki. Its goal is to increase user participation, identify and close topic gaps on the wiki, and propose ways to improve the user experience. The committee may also act as the arbitrator to settle content disputes and discrepancies on PetroWiki if necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience and/or interest in Wiki contributions/editing.
• Interest in discovering new areas of interest or content gaps within the existing PetroWiki
• SPE professional membership
• Interest in motivating members to add content

  Expected Time Commitment

• One hour per month participating in teleconferences One in-person meeting during the SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (1-2 hours)
• Approximately 10 hours annually working on committee projects

  Deliverables and Expectations

• Increase user participation – get users to enter and update content
• Identifying and closing topic gaps and strategies to do so
• Improve the user experience
• Establish benchmarks for the future
