SPE International - Scholarship and Fellowship Selection Committee

About this role; 

SPE International is looking for new members to join its Scholarship Selection Committee. At several stages throughout the year the committeee comes together to review and select recipients for SPE's International Scholarships and Fellowships including the Gus Archie Scholarship, Nico van Wingen Graduate Fellowship and Henry DeWitt Smith Fellowship. 

Structure:

The Scholarship Selection Committee is comprised of approximately 12-15 members, consisting of a diverse number of SPE senior members from different regions and backgrounds. Ideally, they should either be in academia or have a good understanding of University with admission and scholarship procedures in major petroleum engineering university departments.

Function:

The Committee is responsible for all activities associated with the International Scholarships and Fellowships hosted by SPE. This includes the Gus Archie Scholarship, Henry DeWitt Smith Fellowship and Nico van Wingen Graduate Fellowship.

Responsibilities:

• To review the eligibility criteria and application procedure for Scholarships and Fellowships.
• To review the vetted applications
• To select and confirm the winner(s) of international Scholarships.
