Energy Information Committee

This advisory committee serves to guide and promote the society’s global programs and activities to inform students and the general public about the value that the petroleum industry provides to the quality of our everyday lives. It’s responsible for developing career-related materials for pre-university students and presentations that demonstrate the benefits provided by the oil and natural gas industry for the public in a manner that can be easily understood and that appeals to their values.

Expectations

• Attend meetings onsite at ATCE and OTC. Expenses for travel, meals, accommodations, etc will not be reimbursed by SPE.
• Collaborate among other committee members via email and phone to develop public awareness presentations.

Eligibility

• Current SPE professional member

• 3 year term, start at ATCE
• 10 hours every six months
