Description:

This committee is charged with selecting the SPE Young Member Outstanding Service Award. This award recognizes contributions and leadership to the public and the community and is intended to encourage interests among the young members of the Society that are broader than the profession.

Tasks:

  • Committee will review candidates nominated by the membership
  • Committee will hold up to 3 ballots
  • Committee will deliberate together to select recipient

Eligibility:

  • Current SPE Professional Member
  • Interest in recognizing young professionals
  • Appreciation of service and leadership to SPE and the greater community

Time Commitment:

  • 3 year term, completion at ATCE
  • Annual online review of candidates
  • Committee is active between February and May
  • Members participate in several teleconferences during the active period
NOTE: Committee members are ineligible for this award during their term of service and for 2 years afterward.

Qualifications:

Membership Experience: 5 or more years
