Description:

This committee is charged with selecting the SPE Public Service Award. The award recognizes distinguished public service to a country, state, community, or the public through excellence in leadership, service, or humanitarianism.  The service must be above the requirements of employment and not a compensated activity.

Tasks:

  • Committee will review candidates nominated by the membership
  • Committee will hold up to 3 ballots
  • Committee will deliberate together to select recipient

Eligibility:

  • Current SPE Professional Member
  • Appreciation of and interest in recognizing public service

Time Commitment:

  • 3 year term, completion at ATCE
  • Annual online review of candidates
  • Committee is active between February and May
  • Members participate in several teleconferences during the active period
