Academic Advisory Committee

The Committee is charged with:

• Conducting strategic review of petroleum engineering education and best practices
• Liaising with the SPE Board of Directors on committee matters
• Engaging in ongoing projects related to academic activities

Expectations

• To actively engage in committee functions, including meetings and other functions to achieve the goals of the committee
• To participate in at least one physical meeting per year
• To participate in at least four teleconference per year
• To be available to discuss committee matters via email with other committee members

Eligibility

• SPE professional membership

Expected Time Commitment 

• 3-Year Term Cycle
• Attendance at one physical meeting per year (8 hours per year)
• Attendance at four teleconferences per year (4 hours per year)
• Estimated time commitment per year is approximately 15 to 20 hours per year
