Petroleum Engineering License Exam Question Writer

Volunteers for this opportunity will serve on the SPE U.S. Engineering Registration Committee in order to assist with writing exam questions for the U.S. State Petroleum Engineering license exam.  Each volunteer must be a petroleum engineer, licensed by exam.

This group meets for two days in Houston in the months of January and September. In May, the committee travels to the NCEES headquarters in Clemson, S.C. for a two day meeting. All travel expenses are paid by NCEES.

Note: In order to apply for this volunteer opportunity, all applicants must reside in the United States and hold a petroleum engineering license. They must also be at least four years post-graduation.
