SPE CTCE University Programme 2024

Please apply to join the SPE CTCE  University Programme Committee 2024.

The University Programme (Student Development Summit) will be conducted alongside the CTCE 2024 in Atyrau, Kazakhstan (location can be subject to change).

The Committee’s role is to provide support and produce a program for university students including inviting speakers from oil and gas producing companies, service companies, or others.  Committee members may also serve as speakers or moderators where they see fit.  They may also be involved in student selection and online judging.  The Committee should also assist in securing sponsorship/support within their organization and business network to support these programs.

This programme is for the benefit of the best undergraduate geosciences and engineering students from across the Russia and Caspian Region. The purpose of this programme is to give students a clear insight into the industry that they are about to join; to allow them to return to go back to their peers with a positive message, and to provide opportunities for students to form new friendships and to work together on joint activities.

Eligibility

• SPE member
• Personal interest in developing university students and programming/sessions to enhance professional skills
• Effective communicator

Expectations

• Be available for 2-3 Virtual and/or in-person or hybrid Committee Meetings
• Be responsive in a timely manner over email
• Be able to work in a team environment with the committee and sub-committees within
• Validate and shape program goals and objectives for the participating students
• Select the students based on the applications collected and received by SPE Support Staff via an online judging portal
• Develop the Group Assignments/Projects the students will undertake during the program, including selecting an overall theme
• Nominate Young Professionals and Speakers where necessary
• Solicit sponsorship for the University Program
• Be available for part or all of the SPE CTCE University Programme, unless arranged otherwise
