SPE Cedric K Ferguson Medal Committee 2018

This committee is charged with selecting the best peer reviewed technical paper for which the young professional author(s) will receive the SPE Cedric K. Ferguson Medal.

Tasks:

• Committee will review all peer reviewed technical papers with authors under the age of 36 published in an SPE technical journal in the previous year
• Committee will hold up to 3 ballots
• Committee will deliberate together to select the best paper

Eligibility:

• Current SPE Professional Member
• Familiarity with peer review process
• Expertise with the writing, reviewing, and peer approval of technical papers

Time Commitment:

• 3 year term, completion at ATCE
• Annual online review of candidates
• Ability to read and evaluate a large number of technical papers
• Committee is active between February and May
• Members participate in several teleconferences during the active period
