Marilyn Defares of Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname N.V has received the Regional Young Member Outstanding Service Award, for Latin America & Caribbean. She has been an officer of the SPE Suriname section for many years functioning in different roles and is currently also serving in the Global Young Member Engagement Committee (YMEC) of SPE. She is also part of the 2019 national board of JCI Suriname.
Marilyn is the second member of SPE Suriname to receive a regional award of SPE.
