    The event will be hosted by our Section at π’πšπ₯𝐚 ππšπ«π›πšπ«πš, 5Β° 𝐏𝐚π₯𝐚𝐳𝐳𝐨 π”πŸπŸπ’πœπ’ 𝐄𝐧𝐒, π’πšπ§ πƒπ¨π§πšπ­π¨ 𝐌𝐒π₯𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐞 (𝐌𝐈), on Wednesday 3𝐫𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐲 at 17:30.

    We will discuss about the advantage to use existing wells as a source of geothermal energy avoiding the significant cost of their decommissioning.
    A conversion strategy for the existing wells will be also discussed specially in terms of the wellbore integrity requirement and steps to ensure hydrocarbon containment during the heat extraction process.
