TITLE: An Overview of Phillips 66 and the Santa Maria Refinery ABSTRACT: The new Phillips 66 was formed on May 1, 2012 when ConocoPhillips spun off its downstream assets worldwide. Phillips 66 is based in Houston, TX and has refining, pipeline and retail assets worldwide. Locally, in addition to the 76 branded gas stations that we see throughout the area, Phillips 66 maintains a network of crude oil and semi-finished product pipelines as well as the Santa Maria Refinery located on the Nipomo Mesa. The presentation will include an overview of the new Phillips 66 company, its operations locally, focusing on the operation of refinery, its process units, the role it plays in the Phillips 66 refining network and some upcoming projects at the refinery. SPEAKER: Jim Anderson is the Superintendent of Maintenance at the Phillips 66 Santa Maria Refinery, where he has worked for the past 23 years. He graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1981 with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, and from the University of California Davis in 1990 with a Masters degree in Civil Engineering.
