The Salt Lake Section of the Society of Petroleum Engineers will host its Annual Dinner Meeting on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the Utah Department of Natural Resources, 1594 W. North Temple, DNR Auditorium (Rooms 1040, 1050, 1060), Salt Lake City, 84114. A map is provided at the end of this meeting announcement. Lloyd H. Hetrick of Newfield Exploration Company will be the guest speaker and will discuss hydraulic fracturing, what it is, and why it is in the news as of late. Attendees and spouses/significant others should check in with security in the building lobby and then plan on gathering in the Auditorium and paying for dinner starting at 6:00 PM; dinner will start at 6:30 PM with Mr. Stewart’s presentation beginning around 7:00 PM. Access to the DNR parking lot is only available on westbound North Temple or northbound Redwood Road. The cost is $25.00 for members and guests, and we are pleased to offer a reduced rate of $15.00 for students and their guests.
