We are excited to announce that SPE is offering a new platform to host section websites. We hope you will find that it is flexible and easy to use; and that the enhanced features – event registration with a payment option (via PayPal or Google checkout) and a private area for officers to post documents and conduct online discussions – will make this a valuable service to you.

This is a live site, ready for you to start posting content. You can share this link with your section members at any time. SPE will not change the link to your Section on www.spe.org until you advise us that your content has been moved from your old site or 31 January, whichever comes first. Your old site will no longer be active after 31 January. Please note that, as the Internet Chair, you are the only Section Officer able to edit content on the site. Some of the sections that have been testing our new platform have found it helpful to have additional officers help build out their new site. If you would like additional officers to be able to edit your site, please email your request to sections@spe.org. Note that these must be members of your section who are paid and in good standing.
Training materials for this new platform are located on the webmaster site. You can also navigate to this site from the link in the bottom navigation pane of your section site. We encourage you to follow these step-by-step instructions as you build your site. In addition, there will be a breakout session during the Annual Section Officer Workshop before ATCE where we will demonstrate the new website hosting platform. Please bring questions with you or submit them in advance to sections@spe.org.
It is recommended as you get started, that you accomplish the following:
1.) Select site design
2.) Update contact information
3.) Input officers
4.) Add message from your Chair
5.) Add scholarship information if it applies to your Section
