Operations’ Impact on Casing Cementation Jens Behrend - OMV
Abstract:
The integrity of the casing cementation is crucial for a successful life of a well. Temperature and pressure changes during operations like leak-off tests, workovers and production / injection change the stress-strain state of casing and cementation.
Using analytical methods the influence of temperature and pressure changes on cement, caused by operations, are calculated using the Strasshof Tief 11 well as example. Conclusions on integrity and zonal isolation are summarized.
