Dr. Amani has beeen selected as the winner of the 2016 SPE Middle East Regional Distinguished Achievement Award for Petroleum Engineering Faculty.
This is the highest award that can be attained by a petroleum engineering faculty member at a regional level. This prestigious SPE Award is given for demonstrating superiority in classroom teaching, excellence in research, significant contributions to the petroleum engineering profession and special effectiveness in advising and guiding students. Dr. Amani has been selected from the entire Middle East and North Africa region. This is a remarkable achievement.
Previously, Dr. Amani had also won the Regional Service Award in 2013, which recognizes time and effort spent in developing an SPE section.
This prestigious award will be presented to Dr. Amani during the International Heavy Oil Conference in Kuwait on the 6th of December.
