    Newfield, Staff Reservoir Engineer Rocky Mountains Business Unit - GMBU Team Posting Description The Reservoir Engineer will coordinate the reservoir and economic evaluation of existing assets, and actively participate in the assessment development and execution of new investment opportunities. • Coordinate the reservoir and economic evaluation of existing assets. • Apply new generation surveillance techniques and tools to evaluate, monitor, and optimize unconventional secondary recovery projects and Water Flood (Complex Reservoirs). • Provide high quality technical reservoir engineering advice on Enhanced Oil Recovery. • Identify, evaluate technical and economic merits, recommend and execute on oil and gas investment opportunities. • Develop Reservoir Engineering Workflows. Conduct internal reserve and economic evaluation of acquisition, drilling, recompletion, and workover opportunities utilizing appropriate economic and engineering applications and make investment recommendations based on this work. • Complete budgeting, forecasting, and reserve/economic analysis for year-end reserve reporting. • Develop and ensure timely execution of field exploitation plans for existing assets while working with other team members such as Geologists, Landmen, and Operations Engineers. • Recommend necessary data acquisition to monitor production and assist in recomplete, workover and flow optimization recommendations. Job Requirements • Master's degree or equivalent in Petroleum Engineering • 5 years of reservoir engineering experience in the oil and gas industry utilizing software packages including Aries, Peep, and DSS to evaluate drilling programs. • Must possess some Waterflood experience in highly heterogeneous reservoirs (unconventional).
