Urjauday feels the immense pleasure and pride to organise a Paper Presentation Competition "ABHIVYAKTI" during the "Tesseract" techno-fest scheduled for the 10th and 11th of October this year. The contest seeks to invite novel ideas from the young budding minds that belong to the oil and gas sector. Interested participants can mail their abstracts latest by 25th August (12:00 am) to urjauday2014.submissions@gmail.com
The topic for the presentation must be relevant to Petroleum Technology covering vast regimes of engineering sciences and their applications in the present industry.
· The topics should preferably fall in the mentioned categories/aspects:-
Ø Macroeconomics of Petroleum Industry
Ø Underbalanced Drilling
Ø Multi-zone Stimulation
Ø Carbon Capture and Storage
Ø Sustainable generation of second generation biofuels
Ø Hydrocarbon Cracking
Ø Snake Wells
Ø Unconventional sources of energy
Ø Radiometric Mapping of Oil and Gas
Ø Interaction of policies for Renewable Energy and Climate
Ø Reservoir Simulation
Ø Solids Control and Waste Management in Drilling Operations
Ø Use of Nanotechnology to upgrade heavy oil
Ø Enhanced/Improved Oil Recovery (EOR/IOR): Challenges and Thrills
Ø Health Safety and Environment (HSE)
Presentations on other allied topics are also welcome.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
· Only full time students who are pursuing undergraduate courses can participate.
· The abstract of the poster/paper submitted for the contest must not have been either accepted for publication in closely-reviewed journals or presented at any other previously held Paper Presentation Contest.
RULES OF THE ABSTRACT:-
· Please note that language followed in all the abstracts must be English only.
· Each paper can have a maximum of three authors.
· The contestant should give the description of the proposed paper, summarizing its scope and describing its results or conclusions.
· You will be notified if your abstract has been accepted or declined by the 15th September.
· If your abstract is selected, the paper must not differ greatly from the abstract submitted. The further details of the format for paper preparation would be informed or mailed later to the selected students.
AWARDS
There are prizes galore to be won by the contestants bagging the first, second and third spots. Also the certificates shall be awarded to each one of the selected participants.
