Hello! It is unbelievable how quickly 2013 came and went. And here we are already two weeks into 2014. I hope the New Year has begun wonderfully for everyone.
As we embark on a new year, I hope some of you are pondering how to make this year better than the previous, how you can contribute more to your profession and community, how you can do more for your members, and how this can be the best year ever for your chapter.
Consider taking a few moments at your next board meeting to reflect upon your successes thus far and what could be improved. Make note of meetings or methods that you recognize as successful to retain as best practices for future years. Then, examine things that you felt needed improvement. Document what was good and note what could make it better. Keep it simple and don’t overthink. This is a time to set some short-term goals.
Put this plan in place and get this new year off to a great start! I can’t wait to see all that you accomplish.
Happy New Year, let’s make it great!
