At this officer meeting we chose shirts for Symposium, finalized prices for Symposium, and created registration forms for Symposium. We have nearly all the lecture slots filled with industry giving technical lectures. We booked venues and have the golf tournament set up. We also discussed new services we want to offer our members starting this semester. We talked about creating library of SPE Books that would be made available to members, starting a Tutoring Program for Petroleum classes, writing an article in the school newspaper, The Technocrat, each publication, and putting together a SPE Lounge with a television and coffee for members. We discussed the logistics of making these projects happen and what committees we'd like to form in order to have members help us with these projects. We also had the Committee Head for our Recruitment Committee attend the officer meeting and we've planned a Membership Drive for the week of February 11-15.
