Hi everyone,
I am from National University of Singapore who is currently doing my dissertation on Well Placement Optimization. Since this topic is related to my dissertation, I would like to share the project that I am doing now.
Currently I am examining ECLIPSE PlanOpt which is notably one of the best industrial well placement optimizer. I am working to find out the method that the software uses to optimize the well placement. Based on my research, I believe that PlanOpt uses 'Survival of the Fittest' algorithm but it seems like I cannot find this method in more details, especially the steps that PlanOpt uses in its optimization phase. .
Would appreciate any help.
