Slim hole drilling has come and gone several times in my carreer. It looks very good on paper, and through the drilling process, but it really narrows completion and workover options. If you can, look at what options are available for completing a well that has been drilled slim hole and use that information in conjunction with the pro's and con's of the drilling side. If that doesn't seem daunting then look 5-10 years in the future and see what options you would have for workover.
