Description:

If you have not already done so, please 'Sign In' with your SPE.org credentials in the upper right corner; after you have signed in you will then be returned to this page with the 'Apply Today!' button visible.

We need section and chapter officers who have success stories to share to volunteer to be interviewed.

What you will do:

  • Complete a preliminary questionnaire about your section’s or chapter’s success story
    • this should be about the section or chapter's success, and not an individual' success
  • Meet by phone, email, zoom, or method of your choice for your interview, answering with more specific details provided in your questionnaire that explains what your success story is, how it impacted your members or community and how other sections or chapters could implement it.
  • Work with a volunteer interviewer.

Please note:  We are looking for stories that provide a "how-to" guide so that other sections/chapters can replicate your event or idea.  We need examples of emails sent, templates of certificates you use, links to where these items can be found or send them to us in an email.  The idea is for another section/chapter to use your examples as a  go-by so they don't have to create anything from scratch.

What is a success story and what happens next?

  • A success story is something your section or chapter did well. It might include an event you held, SPE Cares project, or an innovative idea. By sharing your story, other sections and chapters will get ideas on how they too can be successful and inspired to implement the ideas shared.
  • The interviewer will write up your story and submit it to the Sections and Chapters Team.
  • The completed write ups will be included in our quarterly eUpdate which go out to section and student chapter officers.
