SPE International is calling for volunteers to participate in the Career Pathways Fair at Offshore Europe 2019 (Aberdeen, UK) which is part of the conferences Inspire Programme. Inspire is a collection of activities and events during OE that aims to inspire, encourage support the next generation of engineers. Offshore Europe is Free to attend, but as a volunteer opportunity this role does not offer further financial support for your travel to OE. This role is intended for those already planning to attend Offshore Europe.

The Role:

This volunteer role will be to spend a few hours offering advice and guidance to students and YPs representing your particular role and experiences within the oil and gas industry. The objective of the Career Pathways Fair is to provide an opportunity for both students and graduates to speak with experienced and young professionals working in different career paths in an informal environment.

We are recruiting volunteers to represent any of the below disciplines, with each discipline to be represented by a Young Professional as well as a more experienced Professional. SPE will provide full guidance but preparation is expected to be minimum, other than being able to attend on the day.

If they wish to, volunteers can also bring materials with them to the event to showcase their disciplines and inspire students in an interactive environment. The event will be set in an informal environment where students feel free to ask question. The aim is that young engineers will leave this event with a greater knowledge of the career paths out there, and be in a better position to manage their existing or future careers.
