By Vedad Hadziavdic, Project Manager (Wintershall Dea)
Once production on Maria started in December 2017, it became apparent that the envisioned drainage strategy did not work due to lack of pressure support to the producers. Since then, the operator Wintershall Dea and its partners Petoro and Sval Energi have implemented a number of measures within several disciplines to establish new strategy for stable production and maximum recovery.
Vedad Hadziavdic is Project Manager for Maria Phase 2 – further development of the Maria field with new drainage strategy, subsea installations and wells. He joined Wintershall Dea in 2014 and has worked as geophysicist and subsurface manager prior taking the current position. He has PhD in statistical physics.
