Exploring Cleaner Oil And Gas Production Technology For A Sustainable Global Energy Industry
Synopsis:
So many nations today have resorted to strategizing on sustainable development so as to help mitigate climate change, while a continuous search for renewable energy for economic and environmental purposes is on course. However, producing cleaner fuels through advance systems and technology has been one of the way forward in sustaining global energy industry due to factors such as low cost of production, high energy density, easy transport and storage. With this as the theme of the conference, participants will understand the importance of exploring cleaner oils for economic, environmental, and technology sustainability of the global energy industry.
This topic would expose us to:
- Know how to mitigate global warming
- Understand the essence of emerging technologies towards the production of oil and gas
SPE Nigeria council invites undergraduate and post-graduate (MSc and PhD) level students attending higher institutions of learning affiliated with SPE chapters within the Nigeria Council of SPE submit their abstracts for the 2020 SPE Nigeria Student Paper Contest.
The contest will be held within the framework of the 18th Student Technical Symposium STSE 2020 of SPE Nigeria Council, by first quarter of 2020. Awards will be given for the top three papers in each division at the Nigerian Annual International Conference & Exhibition (NAICE 2020). Papers must be relevant to the theme of the symposium.
Significant papers written by the contestant during the school term may serve as a source or basis. Students need to be sponsored by a professor of their institution, who will guide and aid in the development of the paper. Only single-author papers are eligible. The paper must not have been accepted for publication in an SPE peer-reviewed journal prior to or at the time of submission for the contest nor should it have been presented at a previous SPE Regional Student Paper Contest. All submissions must be made via the cmt online portal .
