The Alaska Section of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) is kicking off the 43rd year of their Scholarship Program with the 39th year for the SPE Alaska Golf Tournament. These scholarships are awarded to Alaskan students pursuing professional technical degrees that lead to careers in the Alaska oil and gas industry. The Scholarship Program is funded by a long list of Alaskan companies and individuals that understand the value of developing Alaskan talent for this industry. The fundraising effort continues with the golf event, which will be held this year on Thursday, August 20th, 2026, at the Anchorage Golf Course.
